What To Expect From The New MacBook 14” and 16”?
Introduction
Are you in the market for a new MacBook Pro? Earlier this year, rumours began to emerge that Apple was planning a major refresh of their iconic MacBook range, and then in August, fans found that two unknown new models had been included in Apple’s regulatory filings.
These new models are expected to be launched in mid-October, with the new MacBook Pro then being available to purchase from November.
The introduction of a new 14-inch display will likely be one of the biggest visual changes, but what else can fans expect from the Apple MacBook when it arrives?

Expected MacBook Pro features
The new MacBook Pro 14 and 16-inch devices are set to be the biggest change in the MacBook lineup since 2016 and are expected to fix a number of the complaints users have had in recent years.
Good old classic ports
It is also likely that these new MacBooks will also bring back some of the more popular features from previous models. These include MagSafe, ports such as the Thunderbolt, USB-A, and HDMI, as well as an SD card reader and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Apple may be bringing back some of the classic ports so new machines will have enough ports so most users "may not need to purchase additional dongles."

Design and screen size
In terms of design, the two new MacBook Pro devices look set to come in two new sizes. A 14” model, which will replace the existing 13.3” version, and a 16” replacement.
Suggestions believe the new 14-inch model will remain very similar in size to the current model, with the increased screen size coming from reduced bezels around the edge. However, this is not confirmed, and there might be a small increase in size.

Apple likely to retain 13" casing but offers a wider 14" screen

Sleek flat-edge design
Further speculation suggest that the new MacBook Pro design will also feature flat-edged styling similar to the current iPhone 12. Both models will also feature the heat pipe that is utilized on the current 16” MacBook, helping to increase power by providing greater heat management and improved airflow.

Apple may feature a flat-edge design similar to iPhone 12 as compare to curved edges like current models.

Good-bye to Touch Bar?
Another major change in the new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros is the removal of the Touch Bar. First introduced in 2016, it was expected that it would be able to provide a range of functions, but it never proved popular with customers, so it looks like Apple will be getting rid of it for the new devices.
Apple touch bar maybe replaced with physical function keys instead.

Enhance Display
It is also expected that the 2021 MacBook Pro devices will also offer users an enhanced display, with brighter and higher contrast panels. Some rumours suggest that these new devices could be the first to feature the mini-LED display that appears on the 2021 iPad models.
In terms of the battery, it is expected that the 16” will offer similar performance to the previous model, while the 14” will have a slightly larger capacity compared to the 13.3” it is replacing.
Mini-LED technology will allow for a thinner and lighter design while improving better color display.
Better Camera
Users will also be able to benefit from an enhanced webcam, with it expected both models will feature a 1080p camera, compared to the 720p on the current models.

Apple may upgrade to a 1080p webcam that would be better than the 720p webcam on the current model
