Apple Exchange and Repair Extension Programs

Introduction

Apple was in the limelight again recently, but for the wrong reason. After two years of litigation, Apple has agreed to pay up to US$500 million to settle a lawsuit alleging it slows down old iPhones to push consumers into buying its later, more expensive models. In Apple's defense, they claim it was to prolong the battery life in the device.

Although the details of which model and how to claim the payout are yet to be published on the Apple website, you may still be surprised to learned there are several other programs that Apple has initiated to repair or replace their faulty products.
