iOS 14 was released on 16th Sept 2020. It is a massive update packed with tons of new features that enhanced user interface and privacy. We will take a look at some of the best features here.

1. Widgets on the Home Screen
Home screen are now more customisable with redesign widgets.
Choose from different size and arrange them any way you like.

2. App Library
This feature allows "Neat Freaks' to keep their app in much-needed order and organization.
The new App Library automatically organises all of your apps into one simple, easy-to-navigate view.

3. Compact calls
Irritated when an incoming phone call covers up the entire home screen? Apple finally introduce the compact calls notification where you no longer be interrupted by what you were doing - whether playing a game or browsing social media - when you receive a call.

4. Picture in Picture
Very similar to the feature in Compact call, you will not abruptly stopped using a app when a FaceTime or Video call comes in.

5. Pinned Messages
It works similar to 'Favourites' in your call list. You can pin up to nine people whom you talk most in iMessage. It will create an icon on the top section of your iMessage so you can simply send them a message with a tap.

6. New Memoji styles and stickers
Memoji now includes new hairstyles, headwear, and age options. Apple also has improved its facial and muscle structure that makes it more expressive.

7. Translate App
After you upgraded to iOS 14, you may notice a new Translate app is installed on your iPhone. This app allow you to translate 11 languages (as of current version) with speech function. Pretty useful to use it when speaking with foreigner, and it can be used offline.

8. Siri
Siri will no longer takes up the whole screen when being called upon. Now you can be using your app and get Siri to assist you with information without interrupting the interface you are using.

9. Safari
Apple has been a strong advocate for personal security, especially sharing of information and storing of password online. iOS 14 offers a Privacy Report to allow you better understanding of how website is handling your information. It also warns you if a password you are using is not secure.

10. Hide Your Precise Location
If you think your app is not tracking your current location, you are so wrong. Most app track what you do and also where you are. The purpose - to sell your data. iOS 14 allows you to turn off Precise location as not all app require to know where you are - such as Twitter or Facebook.

11. Recording Indicator
After you upgrade to iOS 14, you might notice a orange dot on the top right of your phone screen when making a call or using a app. This coloured dot is to indicate if an app is using your microphone or camera. This will increase awareness if you have given permission to access your privacy.

12. Privacy information on the App Store
You can now get information on the App Store to help you understand the privacy practises of every app before you download it.
